The San Juan River Village Metro District in Pagosa Springs was established in February, 1991. It encompasses the subdivision lying along the North and South sides of US Hwy 160. It is approximately 8 miles Northeast of Pagosa Springs, Colorado in Archuleta County and offers a wonderful quality of life and opportunities for an active lifestyle.
The Metro District is committed to providing quality municipal services while managing resources wisely for the San Juan River Village.

San Juan River Village Metropolitan District (SJRV Metro District) is a Colorado Special District. Special Districts in Colorado are local governments, i.e., political subdivisions of the state subject to Colorado Revised Statute 32-1. Special Districts are created to fill the gaps that may exist in the services counties provide and the services the residents may desire. The SJRV Metro District adopted service plan currently includes Water, Sewer, Roads and Parks and Recreation.
